Eligibility Criteria

  • A job offers from a Polish employer.
  • Work permit (usually applied for by your employer).
  • Valid passport.
  • Clean criminal record.
  • Proof of accommodation and financial support during your stay.

Documents Required

These may vary by country or consulate but generally include:

  • Completed visa application form.
  • Valid passport (valid for at least 3 months beyond your planned stay).
  • Work permit (issued by a Polish voivode).
  • Job offer/contract from Polish employer.
  • Health insurance coverage.
  • Proof of accommodation in Poland.
  • Photographs (passport-sized).

Application Process

Job offer & work permit:

  • Employer in Poland applies for your work permit with the local Voivodeship Office.

Receive work permit:

  • Once approved, you receive a copy from the employer.

Apply for National Visa (Type D):

  • Apply at the Polish embassy/consulate in your home country.
  • Submit required documents and pay the visa fee.

Visa decision:

  • Processing usually takes 2–6 weeks.

Enter Poland:

  • Upon receiving the visa, you can travel to Poland.

Temporary Residence Card (optional):

  • After arrival, apply for a residence permit if staying longer than 3 months.
